Ksiąz Palace – Poland

This is another photographic preview of our castle discovery tour. The detail of the palace and its history can be found on our travel blog at WhyPoland.net.

Ksiąz Palace is located high on a wooded hill in the town of Wałbrzych, in the Lower Silesian region. It is dated to the 13th century.

Recently this area of Silesia was in the news when two explorers claimed they had located a secret tunnel that might be hiding an armored train with gold and valuables that the Nazis reportedly hid in 1945 as the Red Army approached the Owl mountains.

The train treasure has yet to be located but the palace remains a treasure all by itself.
