Poland’s Castles

If you search for castles listed in Europe, you will them throughout Great Britain, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Spain. Top searches even include Romania and Slovakia.

Top searches, however, did not include a country with hundreds of castles in central Europe. That country is Poland. We recently visited five of these marvelous feats of architecture in the Upper Silesia region of Poland.

For this short pictorial, I tease just one from our tour.

This is, Moszna Castle. Built in the 17th century in the traditional Baroque style. It has ninety-nine spires and is the perfect representation of a "fairytale" castle. (click images for larger view).
